基于ARM的大屏幕LED显示系统的设计研究

【摘要】 随着信息时代高新技术的飞速发展,人们对及时获取并显示各类信息的愿望日益强烈,由此带动了信息传媒的飞速发展,发光二极管(LED)显示屏就是信息显示的重要传媒之一。 LED显示屏是利用发光二极管点阵模块或像素单元组成的大面积显示屏幕。由于它具有可靠性高、使用寿命长、性能价格比高、使用成本低、环境适应能力强等特点,广泛应用于金融市场、医院、体育场馆、机场、码头、车站、高速公路等公共场所的信息显示和广告宣传。LED显示技术是将光电、计算机以及控制等技术综合一体的现代新技术。LED显示屏系统主要由显示屏、显示屏控制器以及完成文字录入和显示模式控制的计算机三个部分组成。该系统既可以显示中文、英文,也可显示图形符号或用户指定的特殊图形符号。本课题研究的主要对象是基于ARM嵌入式微处理器的大屏幕LED显示系统的软、硬件组成。 目前各种大屏幕LED显示屏的控制常采用8位或16位的微处理器,但由于这些微处理器系统的运行速度、寻址能力和功耗等问题,已难满足显示区域较大、显示内容切换频繁的相对较复杂的应用场合。本课题针对目前大屏幕LED显示系统存在的问题,结合当今先进的微控制器产品、控制技术和通信技术,采用基于ARM核的新一代32位嵌入式RISC微处理器组成前级驱动电路,PC机用于后级管理和控制,方便地组成由多块大屏幕LED显示器构成的显示系统。与传统的基于8位/16位普通单片机的LED显示系统相比较,该系统在不显著增加系统成本的情况下,可支持更大可视区域的稳定显示,同时可存储更多的四川大学硕士学位论文显示内容。 本课题主要完成以下内容: (1)深入了解大屏幕LED显示系统的结构,工作原理,分析传统L印显示控制器的主要不足。 (2)完成基于32位A刚微处理器的大屏幕LED显示系统的总体设计,对系统中使用的主要芯片进行选型,并分析了芯片的结构和使用方法。 (3)对基于ARM微处理器S3C4510B系统的电源电路、晶振电路与复位电路进行设计。对基于53C4510B的系统扩展进行设计,主要包括存储器FLASH和SDRAM的扩展及与53C4510B的接口电路的设计。 (4)给出了基于53C4510B系统的LED显示屏动态扫描电路中的列显示驱动电路和行扫描控制电路,完成LED显示屏动态扫描电路与53C45 10B的接口电路的设计。 (5)将微处理器53C4510B系统输出的LVTTL电平信号进行RS一232标准的转换,实现LED显示控制器能与PC机进行串口通信。并对10M/1 OOM以太网接口电路进行初步设计,以提供以太网的接入通道。 〔6)完成基于A明微处理器53C4510B的大屏幕LED显示系统的软件设计,以实现LED显示屏的图文显示。基于ARM微处理器控制系统的程序采用ARM汇编语言和C/C+十语言编写,PC机的串口通信程序使用VB6.0进行开发,并通过MSColnln通信控件来实现数据传输。关键词:32位ARM微处理器ARM汇编语言串行通信L印显示系统

【Abstract】 With the rapid development of high technology in information age, people are more and more eager to obtain all kinds of information and display them in time. Therefore it brings the rapid development of information carrier. Light emitting diode(LED) display system is an important kind of information carrier.LED display screen uses lattice module or pixel unit made of LED to make up big area display system. For it has many features such as high reliability, long age, high performance, low cost, and more higher acclimatization, it is used in the field of the information shows and advertising of public places, such as financial market , hospital, stadium, airport, harbor, station, highway, etc.The display screen system of LED synthesizes the integrative modern new technology of the technology, such as photoelectricity, computer and control, etc. LED display screen system mainly consists of display screen, display screen controller and computer that finish characters input and show mode control. The system can show not only Chinese , English but also the figure symbol or the special figure symbol which the user appointed to. The main object researched by this thesis is the structure of hardware and software of large LED display system based on ARM embedded microprocessor.Now, 8-bit or 16- bit microprocessors are often used for the control of all kinds of large LED display screen , but because of some problems existed in these microprocessor system such as running speed, ability to address and power depletion, etc. In some complex occasions, it is difficult to satisfy large display area and thecontents of display switched frequently, aiming at the problems exists in large LED screen display system, relating to the advanced products of microprocessor, control technology and communication technology, we adopted the new generation 32-bite embedded RISC microprocessor based on ARM to constitute the forme"r level driving circuit, and PC is used to manage and control for the latter level, so this paper can form the display system easily which made up of many pieces of large LED screen display, compared with the traditional LED display system based on 8-bit or 16-bit SCM, this system can support steady display with bigger visible while no obvious increase on costs, at the same time, it can store more display contents.This reseach has mainly accomplished the content as folio wings:(1) Learn deeply about the configuration and working principle of large LED display system, analyse the main disadvantages of traditional LED display system.(2)Accomplish the whole design of large LED display system based on 32-bit ARM microprocessor, choosing the appropriate type of the main chip and analyzing the structure and the operation method of the chips.(3)Design the power circuit, crystal-vibration circuit and the reset circuit based on ARM microprocessor system, furthermore, completing the design of the systematic expansion based on S3C4510B, including mainly the expansion of the memorizers FLASH, SDRAM and the interface circuit of the S3C4510B.(4)Provide the column display driver circuit and the row scanning control circuit of the dynamic scanning circuit of the LED display screen, fulfiling the design for the dynamic scanning circuit of LED display screen and the interface circuit of S3C4510B.(5)Make a transform from LVTTL signal sent out from microprocessor S3C4510B to RS-232, which can make the LED display controllerr communicating with PC. Moreover, proceeding to design the interface circuit of 10M/100M Ethernet to provide the gateways of the Ethernet.(6)Accomplish the software design of large LED display system based on ARM microprocessor S3C4510B in order to realize display of images and letters in LED display screen. The program based on ARM microprocessor control system iscompiled with ARM assemble language and C/C++ language. The program of series communication of PC is developed with VB6.0, and the data is transferred through MSComm communication control.
