高速走丝气中电火花线切割精加工机理研究

【摘要】 近几年来,对模具加工表面质量要求越来越高,则电火花线切割表面加工技术备受关注。这就要求电火花线切割要提高加工面的机械性能,降低表面粗糙度,从而提高模具使用寿命的目的。本文介绍了WEDM的加工原理和工作介质的应用。进行了传统电火花线切割和气中电火花线切割两方面的对比性研究。叙述了气中电火花线切割线切割新方法的发展,它在气中进行不使用介质液可提高加工精度。在气中电火花线切割中由于加工反作用力是微小的,线电极振动小则可忽略。另外,因放电间隙比使用介质液的传统电火花线切割窄,所以试件没有腐蚀。高精度的精加工在气中电火花线切割中可以实现。文中介绍了气中电火花线切割加工过程中发生的现象和相关的解释,并以实验的方式验证其中一些观点。
【Abstract】 In the recent years, the requirement for the high surface quality of moulds and dies is more urgent than ever before. To obtain long operating life of moulds and dies, the wire electrical discharge machining(WEDM) is to reduce the surface roughness and enhance the machnical performance.This paper introduces machining principle of WEDM and apply of working dielectric,contrast study dry wire electrical discharge machining(dry-WEDM) and conventional WEDM. Describes the development of a new dry-WEDM method which is conducted in a gas atmosphere without using dielectric liquid to improve the accuracy of finish cutting. In dry-WEDM, the vibration of the wire electrode is minute due to the negligibly small process reaction force. In addion, as the gap distance is narrower than that in conventional WEDM using dielectric liquid, and there is no corrosion of the workpiece, high accuracy in finish-cutting can be realized in dry-WEDM. Some phenomena in the process of WEDMing were explained when fine powder is introduced into the dielectric fluid as a suspension at the tool-workpiece or inter-electrode gap. Some explanation would also be given, at last, we did some experiments to demonstrate the effect by introducing the powder into the dielectric in WEDMing.
