基于3G终端的多媒体短信技术研究与实现

【摘要】 本论文的主要目标是在3G终端上实现一个实时MPEG-4编解码器,并可以对MPEG-4编解码器进行控制,达到在手机终端上进行播放和制作多媒体短信的要求。由于ARM7处理器能力有限,直接运行MPEG-4编解码达不到实时处理的要求,因此我们对传统的无线终端的体系结构进行了改造:增加了一个DSP协处理器,主应用程序运行在ARM7处理器上而MPEG-4编解码器运行在DSP上,采用双处理器构架协同处理,达到音视频处理的实时性要求。在深入分析基于3GPP标准的体系结构上,提出了基于3G终端的系统模型,并进行了模块划分与具体的实现。该方案满足了系统可靠、稳定、实时的性能要求。本文采用了具有主从机制的双处理器的通信方式,抛弃了传统的中断通信方式,并对MPEG组织公开的MPEG-4编解码器的源代码进行了改进,满足了在手机上进行实时的多媒体通信的要求。我们的解决方案对推进3G手机的多媒体通信发展具有重要的理论和实践指导意义。

【Abstract】 It is the aim of this dissertation to realize a Real-time MPEG-4 CODEC based on 3G terminal and control the CODEC to play and make MMS. It can not be up to par to run CODEC on ARM7 because of the ARM7’ process ability. So the traditional architecture based on the wireless terminal is modified: a DSP coprocessor is added. The main application runs in ARM7 and the CODEC runs in DSP. It achieves the Real-time need of audio and visual process owing to the cooperate work between the double Processor. The system frame based on 3GPP is investigated thoroughly. The system model based on 3G terminal is brought forward. It is implemented and run very well. It is reliable, steady and Real-time. In this dissertation , the HOST-SLAVE mechanism is adopted and the communication mode of interrupt is abandoned.the MPEG-4’s open source code is improved on so that it can run well and satisfy the requirement of Real-time communication of multimedia on the mobile telephone.It is of great theoretic and practical importance to the develop of multimedia communication of 3G mobile telephone.
