基于NT68521 Scaler的液晶显示器软件设计

【摘要】 现今,液晶显示器以其体积小、重量轻、功耗低、无闪烁等优点正逐步取代CRT显示器而成为主流。在国内对于液晶显示器这一新型显示技术的研究起步较晚,落后于欧美以及亚洲的一些技术发达国家。因而对液晶显示器相关技术的研究及其系统软件的开发都具有诸多现实意义。 本论文的研究课题来源于一款15时液晶显示器开发项目。该项目采用了Novatek公司的NT68F633微处理器和NT68521图像处理芯片构成的硬件系统,并基于此硬件系统,按照显示器产品开发规格说明书的具体要求来设计液晶显示器软件部分,以实现视频图像的正常显示和OSD菜单对图像的调节等功能。 本论文以液晶显示器的工作原理为基础,通过对硬件系统分析、软件设计和系统测试的研究和开发,实现了一种基于NT68521 Scaler的液晶显示器软件系统。 论文首先对液晶的物理特性、液晶显示器显示原理和驱动原理进行了介绍,然后基于微处理器和图像处理芯片的硬件系统,具体分析了视频输入模块、键盘输入模块、MCU控制模块和图像处理模块的功能,同时对模块间的数据传输以及视频信号的处理过程也进行了相应分析。软件设计中主要采用了C语言和部分汇编语言对ⅡC总线程序、按键处理、模式探测处理、OSD菜单以及工厂模式等各部分进行了具体的设计与开发。 系统测试阶段使用视频图像发生器,对所有的设计功能进行了相关测试。通过严格的系统测试,验证了论文研究工作中各个部分设计的有效性和正确性。从而得到了一种基于NT68521 Scaler的液晶显示器软件系统。

【Abstract】 Nowadays, the liquid crystal display (LCD) is superceding CRT display and becoming the mainstream for its features of smaller volume, lighter weight, lower consumption, flicker-free, etc. In the mean time, researches in our country on this new technology started relatively late, and thus are dropped behind those in European, American and some Asian countries. So it is realistically meaningful to develop system software for LCD and investigate technologies related to it.The research in this thesis originated from a project developing 15-inch LCD display. The project adopts microprocessor NT68F633 and imaging processor NT68521 from Novatek Corporation as its kernel hardware system. Based on the hardware, LCD software system, which was used to realize normal video images as well as OSD menus, was designed according to the requirement from LCD’s specification.Through the process of hardware analysis, software design, and system test, this paper, based on the theory of LCD, finally realized a software system for LCD withNT68521 Sealer.At the beginning of the paper, an introduction is given to the physical properties of liquid crystal, working theory of LCD and its driver principle. Then on the basis of hardware containing microprocessor and imaging processor, a thorough analysis is presented to the functionality of video input module, keyboard input module and MCU controlling module. At the same time the data transportation between modules and the processing procedure of imaging signals are also analyzed. The software functions dealing with IIC bus, keyboard, mode detection, OSD menu and factory mode were implemented mostly by C language and partly if necessary by assembly language.At the phase of system test, the video image generator is used for examining all related designed functions. Hereby, a software system for LCD with NT68521 is achieved by the validity and correctness of the design for every part, which are verified via the passing of strict system test.
