高离化态Cu原子的束箔光谱学研究

【摘要】 高离化态离子核外电子数远小于核电荷数Z,故其性质不同于中性或低离化态的离子。在高离化态原子中,磁相互作用明显增强,“允许的”电偶极(E1)跃迁将遭到来自磁偶极(M1)、电四极矩(E2)和其它高次的“禁戒”跃迁的强烈竞争,禁戒跃迁几率随核电荷数Z增加而迅速增加,此外量子电动力学效应也随着Z增加而增强。基于加速器的束箔光谱学法(BFS)是一种适合于高离化态离子光谱分析的实验方法之一。高离化态原子光谱研究的动力在于,它对检验基本的原子理论是至关重要的,因为用光谱学方法能敏感地探测到电子间的关联效应、相对论和量子电动力学(QED)效应以及“核有限尺寸”的影响。并且这类离子在X-射线激光研究、等离子体诊断和解释空间谱中都有重要应用。 我们在中国原子能科学研究院用HI-13串列加速器提供的80和110MeV的Cu离子,用束箔技术测量了11-38nm范围内的束箔光谱。识别出Cu的65条谱线,其中有16条跃迁谱线是首次给出实验观测值。 本论文主要分为五个部分,引言介绍了束箔光谱法的意义及研究现状。 第二章至第四章是我们的具体工作。第二章对实验的物理基础、实验}‘ljLI大’洲吹l_学位论义原理和方法作简要概述。第三章介绍本论文的实验设备及参数计算。第四章给出利用束箔实验技术识别出的高离化态C。离子的跃迁谱线。第五章是在实验结果的基础上进行深入讨论和总结,以及对改进工作和开展进一步研究工作的探讨。

【Abstract】 Highly ionized atoms have several properties that differ from those of neutral and few times ionized atoms. Since the nuclear charge Z greatly exceeds the charge of the remaining electrons, there are large magnetic effects. The ’allowed’ electric dipole(El) transitions will encounter strong competition from ’forbidden’ transitions, i.e. magnetic dipole(Ml), electric quadruple(E2) and other higher order transitions. The transitions rates for the forbidden decay scale with higher powers of Z than those of E1 transitions. The effects of quantum electrodynamics(QED) also scale with higher power of Z. Accelerator-based beam-foil spectroscopy(BFS) is an important method for spectroscopic studies of highly ionized atoms. The Motivation for spectroscopic studies of highly ionized atoms is that they are important for testing basic atomic theory, because they sensitively probe interelectron correlations, relativistic and quantum eletrodynamic correlations, and effects due to the finite size of the nucleus. Also, such ions have important application in the development of X-ray lasers, the diagnostics of fusion plasmas, and the interpretation of spectra from space.The spectra of Cu was measured by means of the beam-foil technique. Copper ions of 80 and 110 MeV energy from the HI-13 tandem accelerator atthe China Institute of Atomic Energy were used, and the wavelength region 11-38nm was measured. 65 lines were classified, among these lines, 16 have not been reported in experiments previously.This paper mainly consists of five parts. The first part content is the meaning and recent progress on the study of beam-foil spectroscopy.The second part presents the experiment principle and method of beam-foil spectroscopy.The third part introduces the experimental equipment and method.The forth part investigates the spectra of highly ionized Cu by means of the beam-foil technique.Finally we summarize the obtained results and discuss the future work on the spectroscopic studies of highly ionized atoms.
