片上真随机数发生器的研究

【摘要】 对高质量随机数的要求与日俱增,导致了真随机数发生器受到广泛关注;系统芯片技术的出现和发展,提出了实现片上随机数发生器的需要;鉴于这两个现实状况,本文提出了一种基于锁相环噪声源的随机数发生器实现方法,该方法具有真随机性,易于实现和系统集成。 该设计方法具有四个显著的特点:1)噪声源取自于物理现象-锁相环的相位噪声,而非通常的自由振荡器;2)采用冯-诺伊曼校正器对原始采样数据进行处理,去除偏置,改善随机性;3)采用SHA-1算法对采样数据进行杂化处理,改善输出的统计属性;4)设计一特殊的杂化方案,使杂化过程运行在两种模式,既保证真随机性,又保证发生器有确定的产量。 本文完成了对基于锁相环的真随机数发生器的设计和仿真,并对仿真结果进行了统计测试,对其性能进行了分析和总结。 这是对用锁相环实现随机数发生器的一种尝试,其结果可以供系统芯片、嵌入式系统或者高质量随机数发生器研发人员参考。

【Abstract】 The requirement of high quality random numbers grows day by day, which results in true random number generator takes great attentions; And the appearance and development of system on a chip needs the realization of on-chip random number generator. Considering the two facts, this paper comes up with a new method of random number generator based on the noise source of Phase Locked Loop(PLL). The method can provide good properties: true randomness and easy to realization and system integration.This method has four significant merits: l)source of noise derives from physic phenomenon-jitter of PLL instead of free-running oscillator; 2) the primary data are processed by a Von Neumann corrector, which removes the bias and improves the randomness of the data; 3)digital post-processing introduces secure hash arithmetic(SHA-1),which betters the statistic property of output of the random number generator; 4) a specially developed hash plan prompts hash process running under two modes, which can assure that the generator possess true randomness and have a stable production of random numbers.In this paper, we have completed the design and test of a true random number generator based on PLL. Furthermore, we get a conclusion about the properties of the generator by analyzing the statistic test results of the random outputs.It is an experiment of realizing random number generator based on PLL, whose result can be referred by developers of system chip, embedded system or high-quality random number generator.
