21世纪高校校长价值优化问题的研究

【摘要】 办好学校，校长是关键。正如常人所说，“有什么样的校长，就有什么样的学校”、“校长是一校之魂”。高校校长这支队伍的建设和素质的提高，直接关系到我国高等教育的办学方向和办学质量，甚至关系到民族的未来和国家的前途。 随着我国高等教育规模的持续扩大和高等教育大众化时代的来临，社会对大学原有的管理体制和组织形式提出了新的要求，加入世贸组织更使我们的高等教育进入一个全方位竞争的时代。这就需要大学校长更新办学理念，吸收、借鉴国外大学较成熟的管理经验，完善自身的素质结构，以便最大限度地发挥自身的作用。本论文就是在这样的背景下提出并完成的，论文共分五个部分。 首先，通过论述了校长职业的发展历史，校长职业是随着人类教育活动的发展而发展的，它是与学校教育现象紧密地联系在一起的。高校校长产生于人类近代社会，是近代教育发展的产物。同时论述了由于国际竞争加剧，高校之间的国际交流增加了，生源竞争也激烈了，这就要求高校决策的制订要迅速而及时，因此研究高校校长价值实现这一问题迫切而必要。同时介绍了本文论的一些研究方法，诸如动态研究、定性研究等等。 其次，文章对英国、美国等高等教育发达国家大学校长的情况进行了详细论述。主要阐述了发达国家大学校长的发展史、选拔程序和条件以及校长具有的权力和价值。也简单介绍了我国大学校长的情况，通过对比分析，找出了我国大学校长在价值实现方面和发达国家之间的差距，为研究我国大学校长价值实现提供了研究方向。 再次，针对我国高校校长价值优化时的侧重点，采用问卷调查的方法，得出应着重从高校校长的角色定位、威信和影响力、决策能力以及领导艺术等方面进行研究的结论。并对校长如何提高这四方面的能力水平提出了一些相应的意见和具体措施，这对高校校长的价值实现具有很好的指导意义。 最后，论文指出在21世纪中，高校校长的素质和风貌将会发生深刻的变化。大学校长必须具有国际视野和全球意识，教育现代化需要校长现代化。而现代化的高校校长应该具有现代化的思维体系，论文提出了新世纪大学校长应该具备的思维体系，诸如不断变革、创新的思维，战略性思维等等。更多还原

【Abstract】 President is crucial to good colleges. It is normally said that whatever presidents will have whatever colleges. President is the sprit of college. The construction and qualification of president will have a great influence on the direction and quality of our advanced education. And also will influence on the future of our country and nation.With our higher education’s expansion and popularity, the society raises new requirements for the management system and organization way of universities. After accession into WTO, higher education will enter into an overall competition era. This requires university presidents to change ideas of running university, absorb foreign university’s mature management system and use for reference; and perfect their own qualification structure so that they can play their role fully. This paper is delivered and finished under such background. The whole paper is divided into five parts.First, through discussion the presidents’ development history, the paper indicates this occupation develops with human education’s development. It is closely connected with university education. President came into existence in near society. Because of intense competition, there will be more and more exchange and challenge between international universities. This demands universities to make decision promptly and in time. So it’s urgent and necessary to study how to actualize the presidents’ value. The paper introduces some study methods, such as dynamic research and qualitative study.Second, the paper illustrates situation about presidents in UK and American universities in detail. Mainly introduces president’s development history, selection procedures and the power and value in developed countries. At the same time, it simply introduce presidents’ situation in our countries. By comparison analysis, the paper finds there are gaps of presidents’ value actualization between developed countries and our country. These gaps provide research direction for the study of presidents’ value actualization.Third, through the questionnaire investigation, it points out that during the study of presidents’ value actualization, we should put emphasis on the following aspects: presidents’ part orientation, authority and force, decision ability and management art. And put up with some related ideas and measures for presidents to improve theirability in these four aspects. This has some instruction function for value actualization ofpresidents.At last, the paper points in the 21st century, there will be some changes in the qualification and view of presidents. The presidents should have international view and ideas. The modernization of education needs presidents’ modernization. And the modernized presidents should have modernized idea system.
