光纤表面等离子体波传感器及其应用的研究

【摘要】 表面等离子体波共振(SPR)现象是一种光波与金属电子相互作用引起的光电子现象。光纤表面等离子体波传感器是一种将光纤技术和表面等离子体波共振效应巧妙结合在一起的新型光纤传感器。这种设计不仅具有SPR高灵敏度的特点,而且发挥了光纤本身的诸多优点,因而具有广泛的研究和应用前景。 首先,本文研究并讨论了表面等离子体波共振效应的原理及其激发条件。同时进一步从光学和电磁学的角度分析了影响表面等离子体波共振现象的诸多因素。 其次,本文讨论了光纤表面等离子体波传感器的结构设计及其工作原理,研究了光纤SPR传感器在不同类型液体和不同环境温度下的传感特性。特别提出采用在纤芯表层增覆SiO层的思路对SPR探头结构进行改进,以扩展对环境介质折射率的测量上限,理论分析和实验证实了该方法的有效。 最后,本文分别利用光纤表面等离子体波传感器对环氧树脂基体固化过程和酸性镀铜液电解过程进行了监测,获得SPR光谱共振波长、反射光强等随待测环境介质折射率变化的有效信息,证实了使用这种传感器进行固化、电解监测的可行性。

【Abstract】 Surface Plasmon Resonance is an optical-electrical phenomenon involving the interaction of the light with the electrons of a metal. An optical-fiber sensor based on SPR effect is a novel bio-chemical sensor which ingeniously combines the optical fiber technology and SPR effect. This design possesses not only the characteristic of high sensitivity of SPR, but also many advantages of optical fiber, thus it has been provided with a significant future to be study and used in a wide range of application fields.Firstly, the principle of SPR and its exciting conditions are respectively discussed in the paper. At the same time, some factors which influence on SPR phenomenon are analyzed based on optics and electromagnetic.Secondly, the configuration design of optical fiber SPR sensor system and its work principle are discussed in detail. The paper studies the sensor character of optical fiber SPR sensor which is in the different type liquids or under different environment temperature. In particularly, in order to enlarge application field of this sort of sensor, the structure of SPR probe is redesigned by coating SiO films on the core of optical fiber. The experiment and theoretical analysis show that this improved probe has the ability to extend the detection upper limit of refractive index.Finally, epoxy resin cure and electrolysis process respectively will be detected by using this SPR probe in research. Curing and electrolysis monitor information can be obtained by observing the SPR resonance wavelength and the intensity of reflective lights which change in response to the change of environment refractive index .
