分布式网络性能测评技术研究与系统实现

【摘要】 随着计算机网络技术和通信技术的飞速发展,全球信息化已经成为不可阻挡的趋势。越来越多的企业和组织建立了与自己的关键业务相关的计算机网络系统,借以提高工作效率、降低成本。在建立网络系统的时候,如何测评用来组建网络的设备,选择那些最适合本企业或组织的设备,从而获得最高的性能价格比,就成为摆在管理人员和技术负责人员面前的实际问题。因此,研究和开发广泛适用的网络设备性能测评系统具有很大的实用价值。 本文以简单网络管理协议(SNMP)和IETF的RFC 2544等为基础,深入研究了网络设备性能测试的方法,给出了分布式测评软件系统的体系结构和一个实现原型,并利用此原型系统进行了测评实验。论文依次阐述了网络设备性能测试的标准、方法和技术指标,SNMP的协议体系,分布式测评系统的设计和实现,以及测评实验的过程和结果分析。本文涉及的研究工作有以下几个方面: (1)网络设备性能测试基本方法的研究 阐述了网络设备性能测试的类别、标准和关键技术,详细研究了网络设备性能测试的方法和相关技术指标。 (2)SNMP协议的体系结构的研究 给出了网络管理的功能、要素和运行模式;分析了SNMP的协议层次、运行原理,以及管理信息库(MIB)的结构和变量表示方法。 (3)测评系统的设计与实现 详细分析了基于局域网进行网络设备性能测试的可行性。给出了测评系统的设计目标和数据处理所依据的数学公式;对测试的工作流程给出了详细的描述,并指明了系统的数据流以及所用到的关键技术;给出了各子系统和子系统之间数据接口的详细设计;设计并利用C++语言编写了基于Windows socket通信的“分布式网络性能测评系统(DNPAS)”。 (4)实验及结果分析 在实验室局域网内对一台PC机的数据转发吞吐量进行了测试,并对测试所得到的数据进行了分析,结果证明了本测评系统的有效性和易用性。

【Abstract】 Along with the rapid development of computer networks, global communications with widespread open net environments have become the dominant trend in the future. More and more enterprises and organizations constructed the networks for their important business to improve the efficiency and reduce the cost. Meanwhile, how to assess and choose the devices used to construct the networks has come to be a practical problem in front of the management staff. Therefore, it is practical and valuable to research and develop a widely-applied network device performance assessment system.This paper aims at deep research of network device performance assessment method based on Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) and EETF’s RFC2544. A distributed antitype assessment system with this function is provided, and a test is performed with this system. Some items will be discussed here. They are in turn: standards, methods and technical parameters of network device performance assessment; the architecture of SNMP; design and realization of the antitype assessment system; the process and result of the test with the antitype system. The research work mentioned in this paper is mainly about:(1) Research on basic network device performance assessment methods Classification, standards and key techniques of network device performanceassessment are presented; deep research on methods and associated technical terms of the assessment.(2) Research on SNMP architecture ???Functions, key factors and running mode of network management are presented;analysis of the SNMP’s architecture and principle, and the structure of Management Information Base (MIB).(3) Design and realization of the assessment systemDetailed analysis of the feasibility of network device performance test based on LAN; formulas which the tests should based on are presented; the flow and key techniques of the test are illustrated in detail; interface structures between subsystems are also presented; design and C++ programming of the assessment system, named Distributed Network Performance Assessment System (DNPAS), based on Windows socket.(4) Test and result analysisTest on the forwarding throughput of a personal computer in a LAN environment are performed, and the analysis of test result is presented.
