光纤光栅传感系统及对温度传感的研究

【摘要】 近年来,光纤光栅在用于建筑和桥梁领域的传感应用方面显示出很大的潜力。由于光纤光栅的内在特性,光纤光栅已被用来监测应力和温度的变化,而在大量的市政工程中,应力和温度都是需要考虑的重要物理因素。在多种场合中,都需要进行温度的监测以防止建筑物发生灾难性的变化。由于光纤光栅对温度具有良好的温度特性,因此光纤光栅被广泛的应用于这些场合中。光纤光栅传感器是波长编码传感器,因此它在温度传感领域具有许多独特的优点。 本文对光纤光栅温度传感器的基本理论和技术进行了系统的研究,主要内容包括:光纤光栅的耦合模理论分析;光纤光栅的制作方法;光纤光栅的传感机理;光纤光栅传感系统的研制及用光纤光栅传感系统对温度的测量。 在本论文中,我们提出了一种光纤布拉格光栅温度传感系统。我们使用了两组光纤光栅传感头。—组是未经封装的光纤光栅,一组是经过简单封装过的光纤光栅。封装过的光纤光栅的传感特性表明,它具有更好的温度响应特性。实验结果比较理想,可以应用于实际的温度传感系统中。 对于将光纤光栅应用于温度传感领域,还存在一个内在的问题。光纤光栅同时也对压力敏感,因此在设计温度传感器的时候应加以考虑。在以后的实验中,我们将考虑用特性较好的材料对光纤光栅进行封装,使光纤光栅具有更高的温度灵敏度和更低的应力灵敏度。同时,光纤光栅的耐用性也是一个需要考虑的问题。 在本论文中,我们为了实际的需要,还设计了LED和LD的驱动电路,并制作了这两组电路。我们将把它用作光纤传感系统中的宽带光源。
【Abstract】 In recent years, fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) have shown an enormous potential for sensing applications in smart structures and composite materials. Owing to their intrinsic characteristics, FBGs are particularly well suited for measuring strain and temperature, which happen to be the most important physical parameters to be evaluated in a large variety of civil engineering structures and others. There are many situations in which temperature monitoring at specific locations is required in order to access structural integrity. FBGs have been widely used in these applications, because they are sensitive to temperature. In the context of fiber optical wavelength encoded sensors, FBGs have many advantages in temperature-sensing system used in composite panels and bridges.The basic theory and technology for FBG sensor have been discussed in detail in this article. We analyzed the model-coupled theory for FBG, and introduced a method to create a fiber grating. FBG’s sensing-mechanism and FBG’s temperature-sensing measurement are the most important parts in this article.In this article, we have proposed and demonstrated a fiber Bragg sensing structure that allows for temperature of concrete or smart structure. Two gratings have been used to implement temperature-sensing. In comparison with the bare FBQ the FBG have a better linear relationship. The results demonstrated show a satisfactory level of resolution for temperature-sensing for applications.An intrinsic problem associated with measuring temperature using FBFs is their sensitivity to strain, this being an issue that should be addressed when one is designing a temperature sensor. Research is continuing to determine the optimum materials for such sensors and to achieve an improvement in resolution of temperature-sensing. In addition, the issues of FBG stability and utility are being considered.In this article, we have also designed and made a drive circuit for LED and LD which is being used in optical communicating system or optical sensor system as broadband light-source.
