【摘要】 犹太裔小说家在美国现当代文学中占有非常重要的地位。尤其是在第二次世界大战之后，美国犹太裔小说家崛起于世界文坛，其作品受到广泛好评，并有多人获得诺贝尔文学奖。作为一个少数族裔的作家群，美国犹太裔小说家的成就引人注目。美国犹太裔小说家们取得的成就多多少少得益于犹太民族的古老文化传统对他们的影响。如果对美国犹太裔小说家的个人经历和他们的作品进行纵向的比较，我们会发现这些小说家的作品中对犹太意识的体现呈现出一种变化的趋势。以辛格为代表的早期犹太裔小说家专注于犹太文化传统，试图在美国这个文化熔炉中保持犹太文化的特性；以马拉默德和索尔·贝娄代表的第二代犹太裔小说家则试图找到犹太文化和人类共同命运的契合点，并将犹太性推广为世界性；以诺曼·梅勒和约瑟夫·海勒为代表的第三代犹太裔小说家则几乎已经脱离了犹太文化传统，融入了美国现代文学的洪流。截止到这里，美国犹太裔小说家作品中体现出的犹太意识呈现出逐渐淡化的趋势。从1960年代末期开始，新一代美国犹太裔小说家的创作又表现出了向犹太传统回归的趋势。本文试图通过分析美国犹太裔小说家的创作，概括他们的作品中历时性地表现出的犹太意识的变化过程。更多还原

【Abstract】 The American Jewish novelists occupy a very important position in American literature. After World War II their fictions are applauded by the world. Several of the American Jewish novelists won the Nobel Prize for their great works. More or less, these novelists benefit from the Jewish culture. When we analyze their background and their fictions, we could see that the Jewish sense plays a very important role. But the appearance of the Jewish sense in their fictions varies in different times. Issac Bassevis Singer tried his best to make the American Jews be aware of their Jewish culture. Bernard Malamud and Saul Bellow tried to connect the Jewish sense with the common fate of human beings. While Norman Mailer and Joseph Heller almost pay no attention to the Jewish sense, and we could hardly see it in their fictions. It seems that Mailer and Heller have already turned into Non-Jewish Jews. In the late of 1960’s, a group of young Jewish novelists, such as Cynthia Ozick, Hugh Nissenson, Curt Leviant, Howard Schwartz, turned to the Jewish culture again. The Jewish sense has been brought back to life in American Jewish literature since then. In this thesis, the author generalizes the evolution of the Jewish sense in American Jewish novelists’ fictions.更多还原
