IP服务质量(QoS)技术的研究与实现

【摘要】 随着网络的发展,网络的规模越来越大,用户越来越多。由于网络的用途越来越广,网络上传输的数据流量越来越大,人们对网络通信的质量要求越来越高。各种通信网的迅猛发展,尤其是业务级别协定(SLA)的日益普及,使得在无连接的IP分组网上传输实时业务已初现端倪。如何提高IP网络的服务质量(QoS),众多国际组织、网络设备制造商和业务提供者都在进行研究和应用开发。目前IP QoS技术的研究已成为IP网络研究领域的一个热点。 多协议标签转发(MPLS)是近些年产生的一种对IP QoS具有良好支持的技术,它可以与多种支持IP QoS的技术结合使用。有线电视网络(CATV)是城市中一个非常宝贵的网络资源,它的传输信道具有有高带宽、高稳定度等优点,再加上它有普及广泛、建网费用便宜等特点,所以如果我们能够利用CATV网络作为IP传输的骨干网络,那么就可以大大提高IP的服务质量(QoS)。本文的研究重点是如何提高IP的服务质量(QoS),基于对MPLS的特殊兴趣,本文对如何利用MPLS技术提高IP QoS进行了深入的研究,另外本文还提出了一种利用有线电视网络(CATV)提高IP QoS的方案,并且给出以MPC860嵌入式系统为硬件平台,以VxWorks为操作系统的IP-CATV/CATV-IP网关的具体实现。 第一章回顾基于IP的互联网和ATM网络的发展趋势。然后介绍几种促进高速、高容量保证服务质量QoS的网络的出现和发展因素,最后给出服务质量(QoS)的基本概念并且对几种支持IP服务质量(QoS)的网络技术进行了简单讨论并指出本文重点。 第二章详细介绍了MPLS核心协议,包括MPLS的基本思想、MPLS的体系结构、MPLS的协议封装、MPLS网络中标签如何分布以及MPLS如何同ATM相结合。 第三章讨论了MPLS技术是如何支持IP服务质量(QoS)的。我们从支持集成服务、差分服务和明确拥塞通告三个角度来阐明MPLS对IP QoS的良好支持。 第四章详细研究了两种MPLS网络中提高IP QoS的算法并给出了仿真结果,一种是基于QoS的路由选择算法(分类预计算QoS路由算法),另一种是基于QoS的转发机制算法(基于流的准入控制算法)。 第五章提出了一种在CATV网络中基于IP over TS技术的提高IP QoS的解决方案,并给出了基于MPC860嵌入式系统的CATV接入网关的具体实现。

【Abstract】 Nowadays, with the development of network, the number of user and the size of network are getting larger and larger. Because the use of network becomes wider and wider and the network traffic is larger and larger, people request network communication has a high level quality. The rapid development of the communication network and the increasing popularization of service level agreement(SLA)make it possible that we transmit realtime service in the connectionless IP packet network. Many international organizations, communication equipment producers and service providers are researching and implementing the way to improve IP quality of service(QoS). Now IP QoS has became one of the focus of IP network researching field.Multiple protocol label switch(MPLS) is a kind of technology that can support IP QoS very well. It can be used together with other technology that support IP QoS. Cable access TV(CATV) network is a very invaluable network resource. Its channel has a very wide bandwidth and good stability. Meanwhile CATV network has a wide popularization and we needn’t spend much cost to build new network. So if we can use the CATV network as a backbone network that can transmit IP data, we will improve IP QoS greatly. My article’s focus is how to improve IP QoS. Because of the especial interest to MPLS, my article research MPLS-based IP QoS technology deeply. In addition, my article introduce a scheme to improve IP QoS by CATV network and the implementation of IP-CATV/CATV-IP gateway.Chapter 1 gives a brief survey on the tendency of the Internet based on IP and ATM networks and introduce some elements that promote the develop of QoS network. At last it gives the basic concept of QoS and discusses some kinds of technology that support IP QoS and indicate the focus of this article.Chapter 2 studies MPLS protocol in detail. It include the basic idea of MPLS, the architecture of MPLS, the encapsulation of MPLS, the label distribution of MPLS network and the combination of MPLS and ATM.Chapter 3 discusses the means of MPLS supporting IP QoS. It explain that how MPLS support IP QoS from integrated services (IntServ), differentiated services(DiffServ) and explicit congestion notification(ECN) that are supported by MPLS.Chapter 4 researches two algorithms for improving IP QoS under MPLS network and gives the simulation result. One is QoS-based routing algorithm, the other is QoS-based forwarding algorithm.Chapter 5 provide a solution to improve IP QoS by IP over TS technology under CATV network and present the implementation of IP-CATV/CATV-IP gateway based on MPC860 embedded system.
