【摘要】 对于从事劝导性英语演讲以及旨在通过收听演说英语来提高英语能力的人们来说，掌握劝导性演说英语的词汇特点颇为重要。本文基于劝导性演说英语(PPS)、广播新闻英语(BENR)、英国及美国书面英语(LOBA和BROWNA)以及大学英语四级(CEB4)词汇等五个语料库，通过运行计算机程序获取了大量数据，对劝导性演说英语语料库中的词汇，如词的分布、词的种类和词的构成等进行了详尽的分析，从而总结出其词汇的规律及特点。最后得出结论：在词汇层面上，虽然劝导性演说英语与其它语体英语有相似之处，但由于其语体特点，在很多方面劝导性演说英语均有一些独特之处。更多还原

【Abstract】 A sound knowledge about the lexical features of persuasive public speaking English (PPS) is of great importance to those who are engaged in giving persuasive public speeches as well as those who want to improve their English by listening to public speeches. This paper concentrates on the lexical features of PPS,such as the distribution of words,type of words and word formation in PPS,as compared with the other corpora,BENR (broadcast English news reporting),LOBA,BROWNA and CEB4 vocabulary. The detailed analysis is given on the data generated by computer programs. It is concluded that persuasive public speaking English exhibits many lexical features of its own apart from the similarities with BENR,LOBA and BROWNA.更多还原
