【Abstract】 This essay focus on Xu Wei’s calligraphy style and falls into three parts to unfold theauthor’s view. First is the judgement of Xu Wei’s artistic characteristics--beingunrestrained in general. Then is the author’s attempt to research the causes of Xu Wei’s calligraphy style from every aspect as his temperament, disposition and self-cultivation, his comprehensive that following ancient styles, influnce in art.
