ATM网实时通信的研究

【摘要】 随着计算机网络技术的发展和计算机网络的广泛应用,人们对网络的实时性要求越来越高,因而对ATM网实时通信的研究近年来已经成为实时系统研究的一个热点问题。ATM是一种面向连接的包交换技术,当两部机进行通信时必须首先建立连接。一个新的连接要求一定的服务质量,而且只有当网络能够保证所要求的服务质量没有违犯当前己激活连接的保证书时才许可连接,为保证每次特定的连接能够满足实时通信系统传送信息的时限要求,我们必须得到连接中所有传送信元的最坏情况延迟。对连接允许控制的研究是ATM网实时通信中的一个重要课题。 本文首先简要地介绍了通信的起源,实时通信作为实时系统的重要组成部分其特性和目前实时通信的主要研究方向,以及ATM网络和排队网络模型。第二章在借鉴强实时系统静态优先级调度理论的基础上,提出一种通过引入分区算法来计算ATM交换延迟的方法。第三章中首先分析一下ATM网的延迟特性,用响应时间分析法作连接允许控制的讨论。最后,在结论部分总结了本文的工作,同时给出了以后的研究方向。
【Abstract】 With the development of computer network’s technology and network’s extensive application , the real-time abilities for computer networks become more and more important. This brings the research on "Real-time communication on ATM" to be the focus of real-time system research . ATM is a connection-oriented packet-switched technology. Before two hosts communicate , a connection must be established between them . A new connection requires a certain quality of service and is admitted by the network only if the network can guarantee the requested quality of service without violating the guarantees made to the connections that are currently active . In order to guarantee that the message deadline are met for each particular connection, we must derive the worst case delay of cells belonging to the connection. The research for connection admission control is a important question of real-time communication on ATM.At first, we introduced the origination of communication , the behaviours of real-time communication as an important part of real-time system , then described the current status of the research on this subject, ATM network and queueing network model. In chapter 2 ,on the basis of reference to classical static priority scheduling theory for hard real-time systems , we proposed a delay computation method with partition algorithm . In chapter 3, we analyze performance of a delay on ATM network at first, then we discussed connection admission control with respond-time analysis. At last, we summarized the work in this paper and give the direction of the future.
