HFC前端研究与开发

【摘要】 有线电视工业正处于一场革命之中。市场的竞争,数字电视,数据通信和计算机技术的融合正在改变着我们的世界,它同时也正在改变着我们的有线电视工业。在这场革命中,数字技术给有线电视工业带来的革新是革命性的。它将改变整个电视传输的体制,已经使得并且还将更加深入地使得娱乐和通信相结合。同时,数字电视带来了新的业务和新的商业模式。这些都是模拟电视所不能奢望的。 本文将从第一章的HFC网络的拓扑结构开始,在分析相关标准的前提下提出HFC前端调制器的设计方案。 HFC前端调制器作为数字电视的宽带传输的前端设备,其重要性是很显然的。在论文的第三章简要分析了前端调制设备需要考虑的接口后于第四章提出了我们的前端调制器的实现方案。 对于要实现的前端调制器作性能的分析和硬件/软件开销的预算是非常有必要的。所以,在第五章详细讲述了在前端调制器实现过程中的几个非常重要的系统模块对于系统的性能的影响。 由于本设计是一个比较复杂的工程。所以,对于其后续的改进建议在第六章给出。
【Abstract】 The CATV industry is now being revolutionized. The merging of market competition, digital television, data communication and computer technologies are now changing our world. They also change our CATV industry. Digital techniques will play a great important role in this revolution. It will change the infrastructure of CATV network, lead the further integration of entertainment and communication. The digital TV brings the new concept to the operation and business. All of these are far from the traditional analog television. Chapter 1 is an introduction to the topology of the HFC network, including a historical perspective and a description of HFC network topologies. Chapter 2 contains a review of the related standards such as DOCSIS and DVB-C. It deals with a number of proposed standards of DVB-C. Chapter 3 gives the interfaces which will be implemented by a head-end equipment and the following chapter presents the real implementation of our own DVB-C head-end modulator based on Broadcom’s BCM3033. In Chapter 5, the reader is introduced to the performance analysis of the core module in the modulator. Chapter 6 proposed some upgrading aspects of the modulator such as the insertion of service information table and the filtration of packets with specific PIDs.
