《案例》:广东电信——长话业务竞争策略

【摘要】 本文在案例部分主要描述了广东电信及其长话业务现有的状况、IP电话的概念、IP电话引入后广东电信长话业务市场的竞争态势、各运营商的经营策略等,最后提出广东电信目前所面临的问题,即市场竞争战略的选择问题。 在案例分析部分则着重从产业结构、产品、影响因素和竞争态势等几方面进行了定性和部分定量的分析,运用了产品生命周期、波特的五个力量模型和竞争优势等理论。最后得出,广东电信在面临的长话业务竞争中应采取的积极跟随战略,并对竞争的具体措施提出了有关建议。

【Abstract】 This case gave a story about Guangdong Telecom and the competition in its Toll Telephone Service. The first part of this paper introduced what is lP phone, IP phone operators, their business strategies and what kind of competition they bring to Guangdong telecom. Then the case asked a question: How should Guangdong Telecom choice its competitive strategy? It is also the topic of this paper. The second part of this paper made some qualitative and quantitative analysis from the structure of telecom industry, product, service influence factors and the situation of competition. Some theories were used in the discussion that included the Life Cycle of Product, Porter抯 Five competitive Force Model and Competitive Advantage. In my viewpoint, Guangdong Telecom should choice the actively following strategy in the competition of the Toll Telephone Service.
