【Abstract】 The “Second Combination,” representing the latest achievement in adapting Marxism to the Chinese context and the needs of our times, plays a pivotal role in advancing Chinese modernization. The compatibility between China’s fine traditional culture and Marxist theory, the century-long exploration of Chinese modernization by the Communist Party of China, and the ongoing endeavor to build a modern socialist country in the new era collectively demonstrate the theoretical, historical, and practical logic through which the “Second Combination” empowers Chinese modernization. To promote Chinese modernization by adhering to the “Second Combination,” it is essential to uphold the Party’s leadership, maintain a firm people-centered stance, employ dialectical thinking, correctly balance partial and overall interests, ensure continuity while embracing innovation, and create new forms of human civilization.
