【Abstract】 Overseas host-language Chinese literature targets the foreign readerships. To attract readers, it often tends to present exoticism and caters to orientalist stereotypes of Chinese people prevalent abroad. Sinophone Literature, on the other hand, is aimed primarily at Chinese-speaking readers. It frequently conveys the hardships Chinese people encounter in foreign cultural environments and expresses nationalist sentiments. As two distinct aspects of overseas Chinese literature, overseas host-language Chinese literature and Sinophone literature are complementary to each other. Only by examining them together can one fully grasp the complete picture of overseas Chinese literature.更多还原
