【Abstract】 Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) has certain advantages in treating adverse reactions after radiotherapy for nasopharyngeal carcinoma.Professor Jiang Yilan holds that patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma often experience various toxic side effects after radiotherapy, which seriously affect their quality of life.Based on the TCM theory of collateral disease, she proposes that the core pathogenesis is as follows: the root cause is Qi-Yin deficiency(deficiency of both Qi and Yin) leading to malnourishment of the collaterals, while the symptomatic cause is the mutual obstruction of phlegm, blood stasis, and toxin resulting in collateral stagnation.In clinical practice, the primary treatment principles are to replenish Qi and nourish Yin, and strengthen the body to unblock collaterals.It is also supplemented by clearing heat and removing toxins, resolving phlegm and dispelling blood stasis, and smoothing the collaterals.Professor Jiang has developed the Yiqi Yangyin Decoction(a TCM formula for replenishing Qi and nourishing Yin) and applies it with flexible modifications in clinical practice, which has been proven effective.更多还原
