【Abstract】 As a “pioneer and founder of drama,” Ouyang Yuqian occupies a foundational position and has made exceptional contributions in the history of Chinese theatre. This paper conducts a multifaceted and in-depth analysis of Ouyang Yuqian’s life, practice, and dramatic concepts. It examines his profound engagement with Xiqu performance art, his artistic choices in directing, his experiments with “expression” based on “experience,” and his theatrical principles reflected in the direction of The Peach Blossom Fan and the foundations of his movement selection. Through historical documentation, this paper demonstrates Ouyang Yuqian’s profound reflections on theater and argues for the significant, enduring value inherent in his dramatic principles, which embody the developing Chinese school of theatrical performance.更多还原
