【Abstract】 Building an independent knowledge system of Chinese historiography is a historic task essential for us to advance the development of a culturally strong nation and fulfill the cultural mission of the new era. It is not only a major academic and theoretical issue, but also a significant practical issue expressed in an academic form. Therefore, it is necessary to move beyond historiography and return to historiography, drawing nourishment and seeking truth within the broad spatiotemporal dimensions of “vertical extension” through time and “horizontal integration” across different disciplines. In the current context of unprecedented global change in a century, what is needed is a renewed critique of “Eurocentrism” and a re-examination of the integrated development of Chinese historiogarphy. This requires respecting for facts, historical laws, and the dialectics of history, as well as paying attention to the interpretative approaches that speak to contemporary concerns.更多还原
