乳酸菌玻片标本制作及其在微生物实验教学中创新实践
The Preparation of Lactic Acid Bacteria Slide Specimens and Their Innovative Application in Microbiology Experiment Teaching
【摘要】 为弥补微生物实验教学中乳酸菌形态观察资源的不足,以内蒙古农业大学乳品生物技术与工程教育部重点实验室的国家级乳酸菌资源库为依托,开展常见乳酸菌玻片标本制作与细胞形态图像数据库构建:首先选取20种代表性乳酸菌,通过标准化革兰氏染色流程制作可长期保存的玻片标本,整合普通显微镜与图像建立了形态数据库。这将应用于食品科学与工程、微生物学等专业的“微生物学实验”“食品发酵工程”等课程,有效提升了学生的实践能力与学习兴趣,实现了科研资源向教学资源的转化,为微生物实验教学改革提供了新思路。
【Abstract】 To address the lack of resources for observing lactic acid bacteria morphology in microbiology laboratory teaching, this study developed a collection of permanent slide specimens and a corresponding high-resolution image database. Utilizing strains from the national-level lactic acid bacteria resource bank at the Key Laboratory of Dairy Biotechnology and Engineering, Ministry of Education, Inner Mongolia Agricultural University, twenty representative species were processed using a standardized Gram staining protocol. The resulting slides, alongside digital images captured via optical microscopy, form an integrated educational tool. This resource has been successfully implemented in undergraduate laboratory courses such as Microbiology Laboratory and Food Fermentation Engineering for students in Food Science and Engineering, Microbiology, and related disciplines. The initiative has effectively enhanced student engagement and practical learning, demonstrating a successful model for converting research assets into impactful teaching resources and providing a novel strategy for microbiology education reform.
