【Abstract】 At present,the development of socialist culture with Chinese characteristics faces unprecedented opportunities and severe challenges. Upholding the Party’s cultural leadership is a major theoretical and practical issue bearing on national ideological security and the orientation of cultural development. It also serves as a core proposition of Xi Jinping Thought on Culture,and a crucial guarantee for enhancing the“Four Forces” of socialist culture with Chinese characteristics in the new era. The development of the Party’s cultural leadership in the new era consistently adheres to the strategic principles of upholding the Party spirit,adhering to a people-centered approach,affirming the guiding position of Marxism in the ideological field,and promoting the diversified development of culture. Forging ahead on the new journey,we must uphold the Party’s cultural leadership as the fundamental guarantee.
