未竟之穹 华南工学院文体宫40 m跨砖壳设计探究

【摘要】 20世纪五六十年代,为应对“三材”短缺困境,华南工学院蔡益铣等人在苏联砖薄壳基础上发展出“广东壳”体系。本文聚焦“大跃进”时期设计的华南工学院文体宫40 m跨度砖薄壳,在经历多次设计调整后,文体宫以拔除32根已施工三十年的结构柱、另择新方案而告终。通过精读档案图纸、口述史访谈,文章梳理了文体宫的设计与建造历程,批判性认识其在节材、实现大跨度、气候适应等方面平衡现实条件与技术雄心的设计策略,剖析其在内化外来技术的基础上结合地方传统进行创新的技术逻辑和结构建筑学意识,揭示蕴含其中的潜力和存在的局限。

【Abstract】 In the 1950s and 1960s,to cope with the shortage of "three materials"(steel,timber,and cement),Cai Yixian and his colleagues at the South China Institute of Technology developed the "Guangdong Shell" system,which was based on the Soviet thin-shell brick structure.This article examines the 40-meter-span brick thin-shell structu re of the gymnasium at the South China Institute of Technology,designed during the Great Leap Forwa rd era.After multiple design modification s,the Cultu ral and Sports Center ultimately ended with the removal of 32 structural columns that had been in place for 30 years and the adoption of a new scheme.Through a meticulous analysis of archival drawings and oral history interviews,the article delineates the design and construction process of the gymnasium,critically assessing its design strategies that balanced material conservation,expansive spans,and climate adaptation with practical conditions and technical aspirations.It exa mines the technical logic and ArchiNeering Design awareness behind its innovation,internalizing foreign technologies while integrating indigenous traditions,thereby revealing both its experimental spirit and inherent limitations.
