【Abstract】 Xu Mo’s figurative conception,deeply rooted in the Zhejiang school traditions and academic training,emphasizes direct observation of life and an "on-site" experience,which constitute an artistic path from depicting form " to "conveying spirits".His creation of figure paintings not only serves as a contemporary application of the traditional Chinese theory of "conveying spirits through form",but provides a reference for the contemporary development of freehand figure painting.Through an analysis of his artistic journey,teaching philosophy and representative works,this article elucidates how Xu Mo achieved the transition from"depicting form " to "conveying spirits" in his figure painting conception and modelling.更多还原
