【Abstract】 In 2019, a joint excavation by the Department of Archaeology, Zhengzhou University and the Henan Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology at the Wanhua site yielded predominantly Xia and Shang period remains, with minor Han, Tang, Song and Yuan, Ming and Qing cultural deposits. The Erlitou culture period features include house foundations, midden pits, and artificially deposited earth. Artifacts comprise pottery, stone tools, bone implements, and shell artifacts. The Erlitou culture period remains can be divided into two phases and four subphases, chronologically corresponding to the early and late subphases of Erlitou culture phase Ⅲ and Ⅳ. These remains are attributed to the Huiwei variant of predynastic Shang culture. This discovery provides critical materials for studying predynastic Shang culture periodization and chronology, and investigating cultural interactions along the Qin River during the Xia period, as well as the origins and migration of the Shang people.更多还原
