【摘要】 <正>Land degradation has emerged as a significant global issue over the past few decades [1]. Desertification, a specific form of land degradation, occurs in drylands, encompassing arid, semi-arid,and dry sub-humid regions. China is among the countries most severely affected by desertification worldwide [2]. To curb the expansion of land degradation and desertification in northern China, the government has implemented multiple large-scale ecological restoration programs in the Three North Region(TNR)(Fig. S1 online) over the past four decades [3].
