【Abstract】 International Chinese education represents the latest appellation for teaching Chinese as a foreign language, which was initially referred to as teaching Chinese to foreigners. With the advancement of digitalization and intelligent technology, contemporary international Chinese education is in urgent need of digital and intelligent transformation. This paper aims to answer and discuss a series of core questions. Why is such transformation imperative? What constitutes the core connotation of the digital and intelligent development of international Chinese education?What does the realistic landscape of this transformation look like? What challenges will emerge in the process?
