How does Transformational Leadership Influence Teachers’ Teaching Innovation Behaviors?——The Chain Mediation Role of Teachers’ Psychological Ownership and Job Engagement
【Abstract】 Teachers are the key to school reform and development. Exploring how transformational leadership affects teachers’ innovative teaching behavior is of great significance for promoting the implementation of “double reduction” policy and improving the quality of education. In this study,312 teachers from 22 schools were investigated by the questionnaire method to investigate the relationship between transformational leadership and teachers’ innovative teaching behavior,as well as the mediating role of teachers’ psychological ownership and job engagement. The results show that teachers’ psychological ownership and job engagement not only play separate mediating roles in the relationship between transformational leadership and teachers’ innovative teaching behavior but also exhibit a significant chain-mediating effect. The research results provide a new perspective for understanding the relationship between transformational leadership and teachers’ innovative teaching behavior, and also provide valuable practical enlightenment for school management. School leaders can enhance teachers’ psychological ownership and job engagement by promoting transformational leadership, stimulate teachers’ innovation motivation, and promote teachers’ innovative teaching behavior.
