Li2TiTeO6 nonlinear optical single-crystal flakes for broadband terahertz radiation
【摘要】 Terahertz(THz) radiation sources are essential for spectroscopy,imaging,and communications,yet most laser-driven nonlinear crystals suffer from limited bandwidth,strong absorption,and low damage thresholds.Here,we report Li2TiTeO6(LTTO),a novel oxide nonlinear crystal,as an efficient broadband THz emitter via the optical rectification(OR) effect.Under 800 nm femtosecond laser excitation,LTTO produces a gap-free THz emission spectrum covering 0.1-4.5 THz,which is significantly broader than that of ZnTe.Furthermore,LTTO was applied to substance identification and polarization modulation of the THz beam.These findings establish LTTO as a promising nonlinear crystal for practical broadband THz sources.
