【Abstract】 As a prominent scholar in posthuman theory, N.Katherine Hayles grounds her work in contemporary scientific concepts and developments in literary theory, devoting herself to exploring the deep integration of science and the humanities. This integrative approach vividly demonstrates the creativity and productive tension of her cyborg theory. Hayles constructs a field concept and chaos mechanism for communication between science and culture through postmodern frameworks, transcending cognitive divides to establish a grander epistemological system, thereby laying the foundation for her cyborg theory. At the core of Hayles’ s cyborg theory lies the cognitively distributed system across media; she reflects on the breakthrough of human-nonhuman cognitive boundaries through the transformation of writing forms and conceptions induced by media technologies, constructing an interconnected, mutually influencing, and deeply entangled mechanism of all things linked together. Hayles deploys science fiction studies as the applied mechanism for technological-ethical reflection in her cyborg theory, recognizing the mutually reinforcing relationship between technological development and science-fictional speculation. She argues that humanity must confront the coexistence with machine consciousness through the imaginative projections of science fiction literature, and seek strategies and wisdom for co-dwelling with it. Overall, through her precise technical analysis and literary inquiry, Hayles bridges the foundational logic of technological thinking and humanistic thinking, striving to re-examine humanity, technology, nature, and the world from a higher-dimensional and more comprehensive systemic perspective, thereby creating a new theoretical framework suited to contemporary technological society.更多还原
