基于数据证据推理促进蜡烛熄灭迷思概念转变的实验探究
Experimental Inquiry on Transforming Misconception of Candle Extinguishment Through Data Evidence and Reasoning
【摘要】 通过传感器实时监测蜡烛燃烧与熄灭过程中氧气和二氧化碳浓度的变化,探究密闭空间内蜡烛熄灭的原因。转变了传统教学中学生所形成的“氧气耗尽致熄”的迷思概念,揭示了燃烧过程中产生的二氧化碳如不能及时排出也会对蜡烛的燃烧产生影响。该实验设计突破单一变量归因思维定式,引导学生运用控制变量法与数据建模方法重构燃烧反应模型,有效促进学生从现象观察向本质探究的思维进阶,有效培养了学生的批判性思维。
【Abstract】 The changes of oxygen, carbon dioxide concentration and temperature during candle burning and extinguishing were monitored by sensors in real time to explore the root cause of candle extinguishing in confined space. Changing the myth of “oxygen depletion and quenching” generated by students in traditional teaching, it reveals that the generation of carbon dioxide in the combustion process also plays a role in blocking oxygen. The experimental design breaks through the single variable attributional thinking pattern, guides students to use the control variable method and data modeling technology to reconstruct the combustion reaction model, effectively promotes students’ thinking from phenomenon observation to essence exploration, and effectively cultivates students’ critical thinking.
