【Abstract】 In the new era of reform and opening up and socialist modernization, the Communist Party of China has led the Chinese people to comprehensively implement key projects for controlling the Huai River, build the Xiaolangdi Water Control Project on the Yellow River and the Three Gorges Water Control Project on the Yangtze River, achieve a comprehensive victory in the flood control and rescue struggle in 1998, and advance the implementation of the South to North Water Diversion Project, thereby promoting new development in the great cause of water management for the people.
