【Abstract】 Archival work is a noble cause that benefits both the nation and its people, and its development has consistently aligned with the broader priorities of the Party and the state. General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important directive on the "Four Good Practices and Two Services" provides fundamental guidance for the advancement of the archival profession and the deepening of its educational functions. Currently, academic research on archival education mainly focuses on youth, while the theoretical research and practical exploration related to older adults are fragmented, which has become a weakness in the archival education system. Based on existing studies foundation, from the perspectives of addressing older adults’ lifelong learning needs, aligning with policy directions, and fulfilling institutional responsibilities, this paper argues that the archives’ enabling of cultural education for older adults not only benefits this demographic but also serves as an effective path for the high-quality development of archival work in the new era.更多还原
