钠离子和锂离子电池老化及产热特性对比

【摘要】 掌握钠离子电池的特性对系统热管理及电池安全控制十分重要。选取不同型号的钠离子电池与锂离子电池为研究对象,对比两种电池体系在容量保持、循环老化及多工况下产热特性的差异。在低温条件下,钠离子电池的容量与25℃容量之比更高,0℃下,3种钠离子电池均达到约95%,-15℃时,两种容量较低的钠离子电池容量之比约为88%,均高于相同条件下的锂离子电池;循环老化时,钠离子电池的容量衰减和内阻增长变化幅度较大,而锂离子电池整体变化缓慢;表面温升测试显示,电池温升随温度和倍率的增加而升高,在30℃、2.00 C下,1.3 Ah钠离子电池的温升为9.2℃,而在30℃、1.00 C下仅为5.4℃。相比锂离子电池,钠离子电池的温升变化幅度较大,且随容量增大而上升。

【Abstract】 Understanding the characteristics of sodium-ion batteries is crucial for thermal management and safety control of the battery.Different types of sodium-ion batteries and Li-ion batteries are selected as research subjects to systematically compare the two battery systems in terms of capacity retention, cycling degradation and heat generation characteristics under various operating conditions.Under low-temperature conditions, sodium-ion batteries exhibit higher capacity ratio to that at 25 ℃.At 0 ℃,all three sodium-ion batteries retain approximately 95%,while at-15 ℃,the two batteries with relatively lower capacities maintain about 88%.The ratios are higher than those of Li-ion batteries under the same conditions.During cycling, sodium-ion batteries exhibit more rapid capacity fade and greater increase in internal resistance, while Li-ion batteries exhibit a slow overall variation.Surface temperature tests show that battery heating increases notably with the increase of temperature and rate.At 30 ℃ and 2.00 C,the 1.3 Ah sodium-ion battery rises by 9.2 ℃,compared to 5.4 ℃ at 30 ℃ and 1.00 C.Compared to Li-ion batteries, sodium-ion batteries exhibit larger temperature rise fluctuations, which tends to increase with capacity.
