【Abstract】 The ecological civilization construction in the Yangtze River Basin is undergoing a transformation from engineering dominance to cultural leadership, marking a turn in its governance logic from conquering nature to harmonious coexistence. This cultural turn integrates traditional Chinese ecological wisdom into contemporary governance practices, manifesting as an evolution from single engineering governance to systematic and holistic governance of a life community. Its practical connotations include value concept reformation, governance mechanism integration, and green lifestyle reconstruction, demonstrating a silent yet profound cultural driving force. The ecological civilization construction in the Yangtze River Basin not only promotes the synergy of regional ecological protection and economic development, but also through cultural identification and the construction of community consciousness, provides a Chinese solution with culture as the core for global river governance. The experiences in this regard have important reference significance for international river governance in terms of modern transformation of traditional wisdom, construction of river basin communities, and innovation of ecological discourse.
