Discussion on the ‘men are born with gallbladder’
【Abstract】 This article takes the difficult problem of the varying numbers of Qi Heng Fu organs in the theory of traditional Chinese medicine organs as the starting point, and interprets it from the perspective of genetics. It proposes that the ‘gallbladder’ of Qi Heng Fu organs is the male reproductive organ, which stores essence and qi, and is a place for seed cultivation. It further extends to play the overall function of the circulation of Yang qi throughout the body, mainly responsible for the rise, development, and pivot of yang qi throughout the body. Therefore, the gallbladder of Qi Heng Fu organs is a summary of the function of yang qi throughout the body, and based on this, puts forward the viewpoint that ‘men are born with gallbladder’, corresponding to the theory that ‘women are born with liver first’. This not only provides some enlightenment for the treatment of male diseases, but also makes the theory of Qi Heng Fu organs more comprehensive, and also makes the theory of traditional Chinese medicine’s hidden phenomena more perfect.
