【Abstract】 High-quality development is the primary task for comprehensively building a modern socialist country. Strengthening patient capital, serving technological innovation and the development of new quality productivity, meets the requirements of high-quality development of China’s capital market. The development of patient capital follows the logic of resource allocation, long-term investment, risk balance and market cultivation, providing a long-term and stable funding source for relevant new quality productivity projects, promoting the optimization and upgrading of economic structure, stabilizing financial markets, improving market rules and optimizing market environment, thereby injecting new vitality and providing new impetus for building a new development pattern and promoting high-quality development. Affected by factors such as the profit-seeking nature of investment entities in the market economy, the imperfect risk assessment system, the incomplete information disclosure mechanism, and the lagging regulatory system, the development of patient capital faces challenges such as the contradiction between short-term interest pursuit and long-term investment goals, the imbalance between high-risk tolerance and limited risk tolerance, the conflict between information asymmetry and long-term investment decisions, and the unsuitability of regulatory frameworks and innovative investment models.
