【Abstract】 Dayuan Decoction originates from Wu Youke′s On Plague Diseases(Wenyi Lun)and is used to treat the early stages of pestilential febrile diseases where pathogenic factors are latent in the membranous region. Wu Youke′s theory of pathogens latent in the membranous region drew inspiration from the Plain Questions:On Malaria(Suwen·Nüe Lun)which mentions the concept of“transverse connection to the membranous region”. The formulation of Dayuan Decoction may have been initially conceptualized based on prescriptions for treating malaria. Later,it was applied to treat intermittent malaria,phlegm malaria,and conditions with alternating chills and fever resembling malaria. Based on the understanding of damp-heat obstructing the membranous region,modifications were made,leading to the development of a class of Dayuan Decoction-related formulas,thereby expanding its scope of application.更多还原
