【Abstract】 Traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis and treatment protocol for obesity(trial version) was formulated by the Tong Xiaolin Master Physician Heritage Studio at Hubei Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in collaboration with relevant experts. This protocol provides evidence-based recommendations covering the TCM etiology and pathogenesis of obesity, pattern classification criteria, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, recommended herbal formulas, applicable TCM techniques, and comprehensive lifestyle interventions. To further guide and standardize systematic TCM interventions for obesity, the drafting group offers a detailed interpretation of the protocol, focusing on the development process, key content and explanatory notes.
