【Abstract】 Based on an analysis of the data derived from 2024 application proposals for China’s Doctor of Translation and Interpreting Programs, this paper identifies four common issues in the development of professional translator education: talent positioning, curriculum design, faculty structure, and assessment methods. It proposes a “Four-in-One Certification” model(Standardized Training Certificate + Qualification Certificate + Academic Certificate + Degree Certificate) as a developmental pathway for professional translator education and a solution for the existing issues.
