【Abstract】 Although the words Maoguang(茅广) and Gaomao(高茅) are not frequently used in Zen records,they are quite difficult to understand.By reviewing all their use cases in the literature since the Song(宋) Dynasty,it is found that Maoguang(茅广) has only the meaning of“recklessness”,and Gaomao(高茅) has only the meaning of“high and slow”.Gaomao(高茅) originates from Mangguang(莽广).Gaomao(高茅),like Gaoman(高慢),comes from the Sanskrit“adhi-māna”or“ucchraya-māna”free translation plus transliteration.更多还原
