一种新型分馏柱及可视化分馏实验的设计
Design of a new type of fractionation column and visual fractionation experiment
【摘要】 分馏是工业上分离液体混合物的重要方法,是有机化学实验需要掌握的重要技能之一,传统分馏实验通常需要借助先进的仪器设备才能让学生理解分馏的原理和过程,普适性低。溴酚蓝是一种双色指示剂,在水中完全解离呈现蓝色,在乙醇中不解离呈现黄色,随着乙醇水溶液的浓度变化,溴酚蓝颜色渐变,可视化的颜色可用来快速半定量检测乙醇浓度。为了直观呈现分馏原理和过程,提高教学效果,设计了一种新型带有储液区的分馏柱并以此搭建分馏装置,借助溴酚蓝对乙醇浓度的颜色指示作用,实现了乙醇-水混合溶液分馏实验可视化。
【Abstract】 Fractionation is an important method to separate liquid mixture in industry and an important skill to be mastered in organic chemistry laboratory curriculum.However,traditional fractionation experiment usually needs the help of advanced equipment to enable students to understand the principle and process,which is difficult to popularize in undergraduate teaching.Bromophenol blue is a twocolor indicator,which fully dissociated and appears blue in water while not dissociated and exhibit yellow in ethanol.The color of bromophenol blue varies gradually with the concentration of ethanol,which can be used for fast semi-quantitative ethanol concentration.In order to present the principle and process of fractionation directly and improve the teaching effect,a new type of fractionating column with storage area was designed and used to build a fractionating device.Furthermore,with the help of bromophenol blue as a color indicator for ethanol concentration,the fractionation experiment of ethanol-water mixture becomes visualized.
