【Abstract】 The construction of New Liberal Arts is an outcome that aligns with the development of the era, aimed at cultivating applied and interdisciplinary talents who meet the demands of the new age. The development of the ideological and political education major in application-oriented universities must be explored within the context of New Liberal Arts to identify its new characteristics, objectives, and pathways for talent cultivation. This involves redefining the goals of talent development, restructuring the curriculum system, reorganizing faculty resources, and reinforcing support mechanisms. Through these efforts, the talent cultivation plan will be continuously optimized, the quality of talent cultivation consistently enhanced, and the model for talent cultivation innovated.
