【Abstract】 The “Shi Xiang”(imagery of action)Theory in Chinese Poetics,distinct from the tradition of interpreting poetry through of physical imagery,focuses on dissecting fragments of the poet’s actions to decode poetic connotations. As a crucial Shi Xiang(imagery of action)in Bai Juyi’s poetic creation,“Xian Yin”(leisurely recitation)not only embodies the aesthetic implications of nostalgic retrospection and dialogue with nature but also deepens his philosophy of “middle retirement” and life attitude of “contentment to preserve harmony”. It reflects his poetic value of breaking conventions and returning to the authentic self. An in-depth exploration of this Shi Xiang(imagery of action)not only offers a new perspective to understand the emotional core of Bai Juyi’s poetry but also provides a contemporary pathway for achieving poetic dwelling by reconnecting with the essence of human existence.更多还原
