【Abstract】 The dynamic balance of immune homeostasis constitutes a key mechanism for the body to defend against pathogens and maintain self-tolerance. Allergic diseases and tumor immune escape respectively exemplify the excessive activation and abnormal suppression of the immune system. Recent epidemiological studies have revealed a potential inverse correlation between allergic diseases and risks of certain cancers. The emerging field of "Allergo-Oncology" has proposed potential interactions between allergic responses and tumorigenesis. This article systematically reviews the potential associations between allergic diseases and cancer,particularly focusing on the relationship between anti-allergy therapies and tumor progression,from perspectives of epidemiological correlations,underlying immune interactions,and current opportunities and challenges.
