【Abstract】 In this paper, we focus on the typological marking of the causative category, drawing on linguistic typology and markedness theory. We classify causative markers based on their presence or absence and their morphological or lexical nature, elucidating the relationship between causative and non-causative markers. On this basis, we propose an implicational universal from a cross-linguistic perspective: if a language has affixal markers for non-causative constructions, it also has affixal markers for causatives. This implicational universal is represented through a logical square and explained in terms of degree of necessity.更多还原
