【Abstract】 In his ink art, Liu Yiyuan turns imagery in his mind into a visual language in which ink is interwoven with dots, lines and planes, while adopting traditional techniques in landscape and flower-and-bird paintings. His works demonstrate a formal visual effect of "artistic conception created through dots and lines" and "the extension of mind imagery", and respond to cultural concerns of "contemplating the era" and "compassion" on a spiritual level. Moreover, they achieve an interplay between individual mind imagery and collective memory through the integration of "Chu culture" and regional history. This process forms an artistic style centered on the concept of "mind imagery" and a painting feature defined by the methodology of "creating artistic conception".更多还原
