小型化单频窄线宽非平面环形腔激光器
Miniaturized single-frequency narrow linewidth lasers from nonplanar ring oscillator
【摘要】 单频窄线宽固体激光器被广泛用于激光雷达和相干通信等领域,小型化激光器是许多应用的需求。本文报道了两种小型化的LD泵浦的Nd∶YAG单块非平面环形腔(NPRO)单频固体激光器。小型化单频激光器1的整体尺寸为100 mm×100 mm×196 mm, 1064 nm单频激光输出功率1.18 W。通过使用非光纤耦合的LD直接输出泵浦,获得了尺寸更小、结构更加紧凑的激光器2,其整体尺寸只有37 mm×48 mm×24 mm,内部包含所有光学元件与温控元件,单频激光输出功率410 mW,1小时的稳定性为0.36%(RMS)。通过以上两种两激光器的拍频测量了激光线宽,其线宽均优于4.82 kHz。
【Abstract】 Single-frequency narrow linewidth lasers are used in many fields such as LiDAR,coherent communication, etc.In many applications the single-frequency lasers are requested to have small sizes and compact structures.In this paper, we report two kinds of 1064 nm miniaturized single-frequency solid-state lasers based on nonplanar ring oscillators.The first miniaturized laser(Laser 1)has a size of 100 mm×100 mm×196 mm.By pumping Nd ∶YAG NPRO crystal with a fiber-coupled laser diode, single-frequency laser output of 1.18 W is obtained.In order to obtain a smaller and more integrated laser, we designed the optical part into a miniaturized laser with a more compact structure.The pump source is replaced from the fiber coupled LD to a non-fiber-coupled LD.The size of the improved laser(Laser 2) is 37 mm×48 mm×24 mm, with a single-frequency laser output power of 410 mW,and a power stability of 0.36 %@1 h(RMS).The linewidths of two lasers are measured by using their beat signals, which shows their linewidths are better than 4.82 kHz.
